Motivational speaker Zig Ziglar, author of “See You at the Top,” dies in Texas at age 86

I know many of you are Zig Ziglar fans.    I just heard that motivational speaker Zig Ziglar, who wrote more than 30 books and focused on positivity and leading a balanced life, died Wednesday in Texas.  He was 86.  Ziglar, who had been suffering from pneumonia, died at a hospital in the Dallas suburb of Plano.  He touched many people in the course of his life and I was so fortunate to have known him and had the opportunity to have learned so many of the life lessons that he taught.

Here is a short clip of Ziglar in 1969 using his pump handle to make a great point.

“If you can dream it, then you can achieve it. You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want.”

~Zig Ziglar

You will notice the American Salesmasters flag and podium banner in the video.  This was the very first product that I ever sold –Zig Zigler’s, “Today is the first day of the Rest of your Life”film in 16mm.  Sales Training has come a long way since then.  He was truly a great man and made an incredible influence in my life and those of thousands of others.  There will never be another one like him.  I was so lucky to get to spend some time with Zig and “I’ll hope to see him again at the TOP!”
